Affordable seniors housing in the works for Bragg Creek
Rocky View County (RVC) is adopting changes to the Bragg Creek Affordable Independent Seniors Villa Master Site Development Plan to provide policy framework to guide senior housing development within the hamlet.
This includes amending the Greater Bragg Creek Area Structure Plan by redesignating the subject land from Commercial, Local Urban District (C-LUD) to Residential, Multi-Residential Urban District (R-MRU), in order to facilitate the development of a senior housing project comprised of 32 units.
Xin Deng, Senior Planner with RVC, said at the Tuesday, March 24 council meeting, that the application was reviewed in accordance with the Municipal Development Plan (MDP), Bragg Creek Area Structure Plan (ASP), and the Land Use Bylaw.
